Huddersfield Church

Huddersfield Church in West Yorkshire has many churches for various religious faiths such as Anglican, Baptist and Methodist. It is regular for a town to have more than one church and Huddersfield is no exception.

Alas church attendance has been dropping for the last fifty years in the United Kingdom, with 15% of the populace attending at least once every month, notwithstanding Atheists and Agnostics are still in a minority, representing 33% of the residents.

We think the reason for the decline is simply that people don't have faith in God any more, with violence raging across the Earth and the economy in a bad way it's straightforward to appreciate peoples lack of faith. In our estimation the Church needs to be re-branded, if you think of the core values of Church such as togetherness, family, marriage and community leaving aside God for a second! If you ruminate on all the good things that Churches represent in our Huddersfield community then it's actually astounding figures are going down. Surely we all want our Huddersfield to be a great place to live, where persons get along, they help each other in times of need and people give to each other without asking anything back in return. So what we are asking is for you to go along to your Huddersfield church and make a request change, you want to help, and you think it is only right and proper that the rest of your district chip in and help with things. The UK is on its knees because hardly anybody wants to work to a superior goal...it is time for change...come on people..let us get as one and make this happen

Churches in the past and future have worked together with other organisations such as neighborhood schools, groups such as the beavers, cubs and scouts as well as being prominent in assisting other groups of people such as the lonely, meager and abused. The church is seen as doing good causes which sees them in a nice light.

Churches have been seen in a dim light recently with the pope resigning, the first pope in more than six hundred years, and nobody was entirely sure of the reason why, numerous people have speculated that it is not just a matter of the pope getting older and not being able to carry out his job to the fullest.

The scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien in recent times deserted after admitting sexually inappropriate moves to young men training to be priests, considering his anti-gay language in the past, this was seen as "do as I say not as I do"!

On the lighter side of things churches are seen as a very quiet place to be - a good place to cogitate on the things that are going on in your life at the present moment.

A game we used to play as kids was to find the oldest headstone..i.e. the earliest date, that's a game that can keep kids amused for a while as well as giving them good exercise as they run/walk round the graveyard.
