Boston Spa Church

Boston Spa Church in West Yorkshire has various churches for assorted religious faiths such as Anglican, Baptist and Methodist. It is frequent for a town to have more than one church and Boston Spa is no exception.

Sadly church attendance has been falling for the last fifty years in the UK, with 15% of the populace presiding at least once every month, in spite of everything Atheists and Agnostics are still in a minority, representing 33% of the residents.

We think the rationale for the decline is in simple terms that people do not believe in God any more, with wars raging across the Earth and the economy in a bad way it is straightforward to understand peoples lack of faith. In our judgment the Church needs to be re-branded, if you think of the staple values of Church such as togetherness, family, marriage and community leaving aside God for a second! If you think on all the good things that Churches represent in our Boston Spa community then it is in reality astounding figures are going down. Surely we all want our Boston Spa to be a wonderful location to dwell, where individuals get along, they assist each other in times of hardship and people give to each other without asking anything back in return. So what we are asking is for you to go along to your Boston Spa church and make a request change, you want to assist, and you think it's only right and proper that the rest of your neighborhood chip in and help with things. The UK is on its knees because hardly a soul wishes to work to a superior goal...it is time for change...come on people..let us get together and make this happen

Churches in the past and future have collaborated with other organisations such as community schools, groups such as the beavers, cubs and scouts as well as being prominent in assisting other groups of inhabitants such as the lonely, lowly and abused. The church is seen as doing good causes which sees them in a good light.

Churches have been seen in a dim light of late with the pope resigning, the first pope to do so in more than 600 years, and nobody was entirely sure of the reason why, various people have speculated that it is not just a matter of the pope getting older and not being able to carry out his job to the fullest.

The scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien recently walked out after admitting sexually inappropriate moves to young men training to be priests, in view of his anti-homosexual language in the past, this was seen as "do as I say not as I do"!

On the lighter side of things churches are seen as a very peaceful place to be - a good spot to cogitate on the things that are going on in your life at the present moment.

A game we used to play as kids was to find the oldest headstone..i.e. the earliest date, that's a game that can keep kids amused for a while as well as giving them good exercise as they walk/run round the cemetery.
