Tillington Church

Tillington Church in West Sussex has several churches for distinct religious faiths such as Anglican, Baptist and Methodist. It is frequent for a town to have more than one church and Tillington is no exception.

Regrettably church attendance has been falling for the last 50 years in the United Kingdom, with 15% of the populace presiding at least once per month, notwithstanding Atheists and Agnostics are still in a minority, representing 33% of the inhabitants.

We think the cause for the decline is just that people don't have faith in God any more, with wars raging across the world and the wealth of the nation in a bad way it is straightforward to appreciate peoples lack of faith. In our estimation the Church needs to be re-branded, if you think of the staple values of Church such as togetherness, family, marriage and community leaving aside God for a second! If you contemplate on all the good things that Churches represent in our Tillington community then it's in reality startling figures are going down. Surely we all want our Tillington to be a splendid place to inhabit, where persons get along, they help each other in times of hardship and people give to each other without asking anything back in return. So what we are asking is for you to go along to your Tillington church and make a request change, you want to assist, and you think it is only right and proper that the rest of your neighborhood chip in and help with things. The UK is on its knees because hardly a soul desires to work to a superior goal...it is time for change...come on people..let's get together and make this happen

Churches in the past and future have worked together with other organisations such as neighborhood schools, groups such as the beavers, cubs and scouts as well as being prominent in assisting other groups of people such as the lonely, meager and abused. The church is seen as doing good causes which sees them in a nice light.

Churches have been seen in a dim light of late with the pope resigning, the first pope to do so in more than 600 years, and nobody was entirely sure of the reason why, various people have speculated that it is not just a matter of the pope getting older and not being able to carry out his job to the fullest.

The scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien in recent times quit after admitting sexually inappropriate moves to young men training to be priests, bearing in mind his anti-gay words in bygone times, this was seen as "do as I say not as I do"!

On the lighter side of things churches are seen as a very peaceful spot to be - a good spot to contemplate on the things that are happening in your life at the present time.

A game we used to play as kids was to find the oldest memorial..i.e. the earliest date, that is a game that can keep kids smiling for a while as well as giving them good exercise as they walk/run round the cemetery.
