West Bromwich Church

West Bromwich Church in West Midlands has many churches for distinct religious faiths such as Anglican, Baptist and Methodist. It is common for a town to have more than one church and West Bromwich is no exception.

Regrettably church attendance has been plummeting for the last fifty years in the United Kingdom, with 15% of the population attending at least once every month, however Atheists and Agnostics are still in a minority, representing 33% of the residents.

We think the rationale for the decline is in simple terms that people do not have faith in God any more, with violence raging across the planet and the economy in a bad way it is straightforward to comprehend peoples lack of faith. In our opinion the Church needs to be re-branded, if you think of the staple values of Church such as togetherness, family, marriage and community leaving aside God for a second! If you reflect on all the good things that Churches represent in our West Bromwich community then it's actually astonishing numbers are going down. Surely we all want our West Bromwich to be a fantastic place to inhabit, where people get along, they help one another in times of need and people give to each other without asking anything back in return. So what we are asking is for you to go along to your West Bromwich church and pressure for change, you want to assist, and you think it's only right and proper that the rest of your district chip in and help with things. This country is on its knees because hardly a soul wishes to work to a greater goal...it is time for change...come on people..let us get as one and make this happen

Churches in the past and future have collaborated with other organisations such as native schools, groups such as the beavers, cubs and scouts as well as being prominent in assisting other groups of people such as the lonely, lowly and abused. The church is seen as doing good causes which sees them in a nice light.

Churches have been seen in a dim light of late with the pope resigning, the first pope to do so in more than 600 years, and nobody was entirely sure of the reason why, various people have speculated that it is not just a matter of the pope getting older and not being able to carry out his job to the fullest.

The scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien recently quit after admitting sexually inappropriate moves to young men training to be priests, taking into account his anti-gay rhetoric in bygone times, this was seen as "do as I say not as I do"!

On the lighter side of things churches are seen as a very peaceful spot to be - a good spot to reflect on the things that are going on in your life at the present time.

A game we used to play as children was to find the oldest memorial..i.e. the earliest date, that is a diversion that can keep kids pleased for a while as well as giving them good exercise as they walk/run round the graveyard.
