Kingswinford Church

Kingswinford Church in West Midlands has many churches for assorted religious faiths such as Anglican, Baptist and Methodist. It is frequent for a town to have more than one church and Kingswinford is no exception.

Alas church attendance has been sinking for the last fifty years in the UK, with 15% of the populace presiding at least once every month, in spite of everything Atheists and Agnostics are still in a minority, representing 33% of the residents.

We think the basis for the decline is just that people do not have faith in God any more, with wars raging across the planet and the wealth of the nation in a bad way it is easy to understand peoples lack of faith. In our estimation the Church needs to be re-branded, if you think of the fundamental values of Church such as togetherness, family, marriage and community leaving aside God for a second! If you think on all the good things that Churches represent in our Kingswinford community then it is actually amazing figures are going down. Surely we all want our Kingswinford to be a fantastic spot to inhabit, where individuals get along, they assist one another in times of hardship and people give to each other without asking anything back in return. So what we are asking is for you to go along to your Kingswinford church and demand change, you want to assist, and you think it is only right and proper that the rest of your neighborhood chip in and help with things. The UK is on its knees because hardly anybody desires to work to a superior goal...it is time for change...come on people..let us get together and make this happen

Churches in the past and future have collaborated with other organisations such as neighborhood schools, groups such as the beavers, cubs and scouts as well as being prominent in assisting other groups of inhabitants such as the lonely, meager and abused. The church is seen as doing good causes which sees them in a nice light.

Churches have been seen in a dim light recently with the pope resigning, the first pope in more than 600 years, and nobody was entirely sure of the reason why, a lot of people have speculated that it is not just a matter of the pope getting older and not being able to carry out his job to the fullest.

The scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien in recent times deserted after admitting sexually inappropriate moves to young men schooling to be priests, taking into account his anti-gay language in the past, this was seen as "do as I say not as I do"!

On the lighter side of things churches are seen as a very quiet spot to be - a good spot to ruminate on the things that are going on in your life at the present moment.

A game we used to play as children was to find the oldest gravestone..i.e. the earliest date, that is a diversion that can keep kids amused for a while as well as giving them good exercise as they run/walk round the graveyard.
