Nuneaton Church

Nuneaton Church in Warwickshire has numerous churches for various religious faiths such as Anglican, Baptist and Methodist. It is common for a town to have more than one church and Nuneaton is no exception.

Unfortunately church attendance has been dipping for the last fifty years in the UK, with 15% of the population presiding at least once per month, in spite of everything Atheists and Agnostics are still in a minority, representing 33% of the people.

We think the explanation for the decline is just that people don't have faith in God any more, with wars raging across the planet and the economy in a bad way it is easy to comprehend peoples lack of faith. In our judgment the Church needs to be re-branded, if you think of the fundamental values of Church such as togetherness, family, marriage and community leaving aside God for a second! If you ruminate on all the good things that Churches stand for in our Nuneaton community then it is in reality remarkable numbers are going down. Surely we all want our Nuneaton to be a fantastic location to inhabit, where people get along, they assist each other in times of need and people offer to each other without asking anything back in return. So what we are asking is for you to go along to your Nuneaton church and demand change, you want to help, and you think it's only right and proper that the rest of your district chip in and help with things. This country is on its knees because hardly anybody wishes to work to a better goal...it is time for change...come on people..let us get as one and make this happen

Churches in the past and future have collaborated with other organisations such as resident schools, groups such as the beavers, cubs and scouts as well as being prominent in assisting other groups of people such as the lonely, poor and abused. The church is seen as doing good causes which sees them in a nice light.

Churches have been seen in a dim light of late with the pope resigning, the first pope to do so in more than 600 years, and nobody was entirely sure of the reason why, various people have speculated that it is not just a matter of the pope getting older and not being able to carry out his job to the fullest.

The scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien recently deserted after admitting sexually inappropriate moves to young men training to be priests, bearing in mind his anti-homosexual words in the past, this was seen as "do as I say not as I do"!

On the lighter side of things churches are seen as a very quiet spot to be - a good place to reflect on the things that are happening in your life at the present moment.

A game we used to play as kids was to find the oldest headstone..i.e. the earliest date, that is a diversion that can keep kids pleased for a while as well as giving them good exercise as they walk/run round the graveyard.
