West Molesey Church

West Molesey Church in Surrey has various churches for diverse religious faiths such as Anglican, Baptist and Methodist. It is common for a town to have more than one church and West Molesey is no exception.

Unfortunately church attendance has been dipping for the last fifty years in the UK, with 15% of the populace attending at least once per month, still Atheists and Agnostics are still in a minority, representing 33% of the people.

We think the basis for the decline is simply that people do not believe in God any more, with violence raging across the world and the wealth of the nation in a bad way it is straightforward to understand peoples lack of faith. In our judgment the Church needs to be re-branded, if you think of the central values of Church such as togetherness, family, marriage and community leaving aside God for a second! If you think on all the good things that Churches stand for in our West Molesey community then it is truly remarkable figures are going down. Surely we all want our West Molesey to be a fantastic location to inhabit, where inhabitants get along, they assist one another in times of need and people offer to each other without asking anything back in return. So what we are asking is for you to go along to your West Molesey church and make a request change, you want to help, and you think it's only right and proper that the rest of your district chip in and help with things. The UK is on its knees because nobody wants to work to a better goal...it is time for change...come on people..let's get together and make this happen

Churches in the past and future have collaborated with other organisations such as regional schools, groups such as the beavers, cubs and scouts as well as being prominent in assisting other groups of people such as the lonely, humble and abused. The church is seen as doing good causes which sees them in a good light.

Churches have been seen in a dim light recently with the pope resigning, the first pope to do so in more than six hundred years, and nobody was entirely sure of the reason why, numerous people have speculated that it is not just a matter of the pope getting older and not being able to carry out his job to the fullest.

The scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien in recent times resigned after admitting sexually inappropriate moves to young men schooling to be priests, taking into consideration his anti-homosexual words in bygone times, this was seen as "do as I say not as I do"!

On the lighter side of things churches are seen as a very quiet space to be - a good place to contemplate on the things that are happening in your life at the present moment.

A game we used to play as kids was to find the oldest memorial..i.e. the earliest date, that is a game that can keep children amused for a while as well as giving them good exercise as they walk/run round the graveyard.
