Redhill Church

Redhill Church in Surrey has numerous churches for diverse religious faiths such as Anglican, Baptist and Methodist. It is common for a town to have more than one church and Redhill is no exception.

Alas church attendance has been falling for the last 50 years in the United Kingdom, with 15% of the population presiding at least once per month, in spite of everything Atheists and Agnostics are still in a minority, representing 33% of the residents.

We think the grounds for the decline is simply that people don't have faith in God any more, with wars raging across the world and the wealth of the nation in a bad way it is easy to understand peoples lack of faith. In our estimation the Church needs to be re-branded, if you think of the fundamental values of Church such as togetherness, family, marriage and community leaving aside God for a second! If you contemplate on all the good things that Churches represent in our Redhill community then it is actually startling numbers are going down. Surely we all want our Redhill to be a good location to be alive, where individuals get along, they help each other in times of need and people give to each other without asking anything back in return. So what we are asking is for you to go along to your Redhill church and pressure for change, you want to assist, and you think it's only right and proper that the rest of your community chip in and help with things. The UK is on its knees because nobody wishes to work to a superior goal...it is time for change...come on people..let us get as one and make this happen

Churches in the past and future have collaborated with other organisations such as native schools, groups such as the beavers, cubs and scouts as well as being prominent in assisting other groups of people such as the lonely, lowly and abused. The church is seen as doing good causes which sees them in a nice light.

Churches have been seen in a dim light recently with the pope resigning, the first pope in more than six hundred years, and nobody was entirely sure of the reason why, loads of people have speculated that it is not just a matter of the pope getting older and not being able to carry out his job to the fullest.

The scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien in recent times deserted after admitting sexually inappropriate moves to young men training to be priests, taking into consideration his anti-gay speech-making in bygone times, this was seen as "do as I say not as I do"!

On the lighter side of things churches are seen as a very quiet position to be - a good place to cogitate on the things that are going on in your life at the present moment.

A game we used to play as kids was to find the oldest tombstone..i.e. the earliest date, that is a game that can keep kids amused for a while as well as giving them good exercise as they run/walk round the graveyard.
