Capel Church

Capel Church in Surrey has many churches for various religious faiths such as Anglican, Baptist and Methodist. It is conventional for a town to have more than one church and Capel is no exception.

Regrettably church attendance has been falling for the last 50 years in the UK, with 15% of the population attending at least once per month, in spite of everything Atheists and Agnostics are still in a minority, representing 33% of the populace.

We think the grounds for the decline is in simple terms that people do not believe in God any more, with violence raging across the planet and the economy in a bad way it's straightforward to comprehend peoples lack of faith. In our judgment the Church needs to be re-branded, if you think of the staple values of Church such as togetherness, family, marriage and community leaving aside God for a second! If you contemplate on all the good things that Churches stand for in our Capel community then it is truly extraordinary numbers are going down. Surely we all want our Capel to be a splendid spot to be alive, where individuals get along, they assist each other in times of need and people offer to each other without asking anything back in return. So what we are asking is for you to go along to your Capel church and pressure for change, you want to assist, and you think it's only right and proper that the rest of your neighborhood chip in and help with things. The UK is on its knees because hardly a soul desires to work to a greater goal...it is time for change...come on people..let us get organized and make this happen

Churches in the past and future have worked together with other organisations such as community schools, groups such as the beavers, cubs and scouts as well as being prominent in assisting other groups of people such as the lonely, humble and abused. The church is seen as doing good causes which sees them in a nice light.

Churches have been seen in a dim light recently with the pope resigning, the first pope to do so in more than six hundred years, and nobody was entirely sure of the reason why, various people have speculated that it is not just a matter of the pope getting older and not being able to carry out his job to the fullest.

The scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien recently deserted after admitting sexually inappropriate moves to young men schooling to be priests, in view of his anti-homosexual words in the past, this was seen as "do as I say not as I do"!

On the lighter side of things churches are seen as a very peaceful position to be - a good spot to ruminate on the things that are going on in your life at the present moment.

A game we used to play as children was to find the oldest memorial..i.e. the earliest date, that's a game that can keep kids pleased for a while as well as giving them good exercise as they run/walk round the graveyard.
