Biddulph Church

Biddulph Church in Staffordshire has a lot of churches for various religious faiths such as Anglican, Baptist and Methodist. It is conventional for a town to have more than one church and Biddulph is no exception.

Alas church attendance has been dropping for the last fifty years in the UK, with 15% of the population presiding at least once per month, nonetheless Atheists and Agnostics are still in a minority, representing 33% of the people.

We think the cause for the decline is in basic terms that people do not believe in God any more, with wars raging across the planet and the economy in a bad way it's straightforward to comprehend peoples lack of faith. In our judgment the Church needs to be re-branded, if you think of the central values of Church such as togetherness, family, marriage and community leaving aside God for a second! If you think on all the good things that Churches represent in our Biddulph community then it's truly remarkable figures are going down. Surely we all want our Biddulph to be a splendid place to dwell, where individuals get along, they assist each other in times of need and people offer to each other without asking anything back in return. So what we are asking is for you to go along to your Biddulph church and plea for change, you want to help, and you think it's only right and proper that the rest of your district chip in and help with things. The UK is on its knees because nobody wants to work to a greater goal...it is time for change...come on people..let us get as one and make this happen

Churches in the past and future have worked together with other organisations such as neighborhood schools, groups such as the beavers, cubs and scouts as well as being prominent in assisting other groups of inhabitants such as the lonely, meager and abused. The church is seen as doing good causes which sees them in a good light.

Churches have been seen in a dim light of late with the pope resigning, the first pope in more than six hundred years, and nobody was entirely sure of the reason why, countless people have speculated that it is not just a matter of the pope getting older and not being able to carry out his job to the fullest.

The scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien recently walked out after admitting sexually inappropriate moves to young men training to be priests, bearing in mind his anti-homosexual language in the past, this was seen as "do as I say not as I do"!

On the lighter side of things churches are seen as a very peaceful position to be - a good space to contemplate on the things that are happening in your life at the present time.

A game we used to play as kids was to find the oldest headstone..i.e. the earliest date, that's a diversion that can keep kids smiling for a while as well as giving them good exercise as they run/walk round the cemetery.
