Radcliffe on Trent Church

Radcliffe on Trent Church in Nottinghamshire has various churches for distinct religious faiths such as Anglican, Baptist and Methodist. It is conventional for a town to have more than one church and Radcliffe on Trent is no exception.

Alas church attendance has been dipping for the last fifty years in the UK, with 15% of the population attending at least once every month, however Atheists and Agnostics are still in a minority, representing 33% of the population.

We think the reason for the decline is just that people do not have faith in God any more, with violence raging across the world and the economy in a bad way it's easy to understand peoples lack of faith. In our judgment the Church needs to be re-branded, if you think of the core values of Church such as togetherness, family, marriage and community leaving aside God for a second! If you reflect on all the good things that Churches represent in our Radcliffe on Trent community then it's really amazing figures are going down. Surely we all want our Radcliffe on Trent to be a good spot to be alive, where persons get along, they help one another in times of hardship and people offer to each other without asking anything back in return. So what we are asking is for you to go along to your Radcliffe on Trent church and make a request change, you want to assist, and you think it's only right and proper that the rest of your district chip in and help with things. This country is on its knees because nobody wants to work to a better goal...it is time for change...come on people..let us get organized and make this happen

Churches in the past and future have collaborated with other organisations such as resident schools, groups such as the beavers, cubs and scouts as well as being prominent in assisting other groups of people such as the lonely, lowly and abused. The church is seen as doing good causes which sees them in a nice light.

Churches have been seen in a dim light of late with the pope resigning, the first pope in more than six hundred years, and nobody was entirely sure of the reason why, many people have speculated that it is not just a matter of the pope getting older and not being able to carry out his job to the fullest.

The scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien in recent times walked out after admitting sexually inappropriate moves to young men schooling to be priests, bearing in mind his anti-homosexual speech-making in the past, this was seen as "do as I say not as I do"!

On the lighter side of things churches are seen as a very quiet space to be - a good space to cogitate on the things that are going on in your life at the present moment.

A game we used to play as kids was to find the oldest gravestone..i.e. the earliest date, that's a diversion that can keep kids pleased for a while as well as giving them good exercise as they walk/run round the graveyard.
