Brackley Church

Brackley Church in Northamptonshire has a lot of churches for separate religious faiths such as Anglican, Baptist and Methodist. It is frequent for a town to have more than one church and Brackley is no exception.

Regrettably church attendance has been dropping for the last fifty years in the UK, with 15% of the population attending at least once every month, however Atheists and Agnostics are still in a minority, representing 33% of the residents.

We think the reason for the decline is simply that people don't have faith in God any more, with wars raging across the Earth and the economy in a bad way it's easy to understand peoples lack of faith. In our opinion the Church needs to be re-branded, if you think of the staple values of Church such as togetherness, family, marriage and community leaving aside God for a second! If you think on all the good things that Churches represent in our Brackley community then it's really remarkable figures are going down. Surely we all want our Brackley to be a splendid place to live, where persons get along, they assist each other in times of hardship and people offer to each other without asking anything back in return. So what we are asking is for you to go along to your Brackley church and demand change, you want to help, and you think it's only right and proper that the rest of your district chip in and help with things. This country is on its knees because nobody wishes to work to a greater goal...it is time for change...come on people..let's get organized and make this happen

Churches in the past and future have collaborated with other organisations such as neighborhood schools, groups such as the beavers, cubs and scouts as well as being prominent in assisting other groups of inhabitants such as the lonely, lowly and abused. The church is seen as doing good causes which sees them in a nice light.

Churches have been seen in a dim light of late with the pope resigning, the first pope to do so in more than six hundred years, and nobody was entirely sure of the reason why, scores of people have speculated that it is not just a matter of the pope getting older and not being able to carry out his job to the fullest.

The scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien recently resigned after admitting sexually inappropriate moves to young men training to be priests, considering his anti-homosexual words in bygone times, this was seen as "do as I say not as I do"!

On the lighter side of things churches are seen as a very quiet position to be - a good spot to contemplate on the things that are going on in your life at the present time.

A game we used to play as kids was to find the oldest gravestone..i.e. the earliest date, that's a diversion that can keep children amused for a while as well as giving them good exercise as they run/walk round the cemetery.
