King's Lynn Church

King's Lynn Church in Norfolk has various churches for distinct religious faiths such as Anglican, Baptist and Methodist. It is frequent for a town to have more than one church and King's Lynn is no exception.

Alas church attendance has been plummeting for the last fifty years in the UK, with 15% of the population attending at least once every month, still Atheists and Agnostics are still in a minority, representing 33% of the population.

We think the rationale for the decline is just that people do not believe in God any more, with violence raging across the Earth and the economy in a bad way it is easy to appreciate peoples lack of faith. In our opinion the Church needs to be re-branded, if you think of the fundamental values of Church such as togetherness, family, marriage and community leaving aside God for a second! If you think on all the good things that Churches stand for in our King's Lynn community then it is actually astounding figures are going down. Surely we all want our King's Lynn to be a fantastic place to be alive, where persons get along, they assist each other in times of need and people offer to each other without asking anything back in return. So what we are asking is for you to go along to your King's Lynn church and plea for change, you want to help, and you think it's only right and proper that the rest of your district chip in and help with things. The UK is on its knees because hardly anybody wishes to work to a better goal...it is time for change...come on people..let us get organized and make this happen

Churches in the past and future have worked together with other organisations such as resident schools, groups such as the beavers, cubs and scouts as well as being prominent in assisting other groups of people such as the lonely, meager and abused. The church is seen as doing good causes which sees them in a nice light.

Churches have been seen in a dim light recently with the pope resigning, the first pope in more than six hundred years, and nobody was entirely sure of the reason why, various people have speculated that it is not just a matter of the pope getting older and not being able to carry out his job to the fullest.

The scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien recently quit after admitting sexually inappropriate moves to young men schooling to be priests, taking into account his anti-homosexual speech-making in bygone times, this was seen as "do as I say not as I do"!

On the lighter side of things churches are seen as a very peaceful space to be - a good space to cogitate on the things that are going on in your life at the present time.

A game we used to play as kids was to find the oldest headstone..i.e. the earliest date, that's a game that can keep children amused for a while as well as giving them good exercise as they run/walk round the graveyard.
