Birkenhead Church

Birkenhead Church in Merseyside has various churches for distinctive religious faiths such as Anglican, Baptist and Methodist. It is common for a town to have more than one church and Birkenhead is no exception.

Alas church attendance has been sinking for the last 50 years in the United Kingdom, with 15% of the population attending at least once every month, nevertheless Atheists and Agnostics are still in a minority, representing 33% of the people.

We think the basis for the decline is just that people don't have faith in God any more, with violence raging across the planet and the wealth of the nation in a bad way it's straightforward to appreciate peoples lack of faith. In our estimation the Church needs to be re-branded, if you think of the staple values of Church such as togetherness, family, marriage and community leaving aside God for a second! If you think on all the good things that Churches represent in our Birkenhead community then it's actually shocking figures are going down. Surely we all want our Birkenhead to be a fantastic location to dwell, where persons get along, they help one another in times of need and people give to each other without asking anything back in return. So what we are asking is for you to go along to your Birkenhead church and make a request change, you want to help, and you think it's only right and proper that the rest of your neighborhood chip in and help with things. The UK is on its knees because hardly a soul desires to work to a better goal...it is time for change...come on people..let's get together and make this happen

Churches in the past and future have worked together with other organisations such as community schools, groups such as the beavers, cubs and scouts as well as being prominent in assisting other groups of people such as the lonely, humble and abused. The church is seen as doing good causes which sees them in a nice light.

Churches have been seen in a dim light recently with the pope resigning, the first pope to do so in more than six hundred years, and nobody was entirely sure of the reason why, countless people have speculated that it is not just a matter of the pope getting older and not being able to carry out his job to the fullest.

The scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien recently walked out after admitting sexually inappropriate moves to young men training to be priests, taking into consideration his anti-gay words in bygone times, this was seen as "do as I say not as I do"!

On the lighter side of things churches are seen as a very peaceful spot to be - a good spot to reflect on the things that are happening in your life at the present time.

A game we used to play as children was to find the oldest memorial..i.e. the earliest date, that is a game that can keep children pleased for a while as well as giving them good exercise as they run/walk round the graveyard.
