Boston Church

Boston Church in Lincolnshire has a lot of churches for diverse religious faiths such as Anglican, Baptist and Methodist. It is frequent for a town to have more than one church and Boston is no exception.

Sadly church attendance has been tumbling for the last 50 years in the United Kingdom, with 15% of the population presiding at least once every month, in spite of everything Atheists and Agnostics are still in a minority, representing 33% of the people.

We think the reason for the decline is in simple terms that people do not have faith in God any more, with wars raging across the planet and the wealth of the nation in a bad way it's straightforward to comprehend peoples lack of faith. In our estimation the Church needs to be re-branded, if you think of the core values of Church such as togetherness, family, marriage and community leaving aside God for a second! If you ruminate on all the good things that Churches represent in our Boston community then it is actually astonishing figures are going down. Surely we all want our Boston to be a splendid location to dwell, where persons get along, they assist each other in times of hardship and people offer to each other without asking anything back in return. So what we are asking is for you to go along to your Boston church and demand change, you want to assist, and you think it is only right and proper that the rest of your district chip in and help with things. The UK is on its knees because nobody wants to work to a greater goal...it is time for change...come on people..let's get as one and make this happen

Churches in the past and future have collaborated with other organisations such as local schools, groups such as the beavers, cubs and scouts as well as being prominent in assisting other groups of inhabitants such as the lonely, meager and abused. The church is seen as doing good causes which sees them in a good light.

Churches have been seen in a dim light recently with the pope resigning, the first pope to do so in more than six hundred years, and nobody was entirely sure of the reason why, many people have speculated that it is not just a matter of the pope getting older and not being able to carry out his job to the fullest.

The scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien recently deserted after admitting sexually inappropriate moves to young men schooling to be priests, taking into account his anti-homosexual speech-making in bygone times, this was seen as "do as I say not as I do"!

On the lighter side of things churches are seen as a very peaceful space to be - a good spot to cogitate on the things that are going on in your life at the present time.

A game we used to play as kids was to find the oldest gravestone..i.e. the earliest date, that is a diversion that can keep kids amused for a while as well as giving them good exercise as they run/walk round the graveyard.
