Hinckley Church

Hinckley Church in Leicestershire has a lot of churches for different religious faiths such as Anglican, Baptist and Methodist. It is regular for a town to have more than one church and Hinckley is no exception.

Alas church attendance has been falling for the last fifty years in the United Kingdom, with 15% of the populace presiding at least once per month, notwithstanding Atheists and Agnostics are still in a minority, representing 33% of the populace.

We think the explanation for the decline is in simple terms that people do not have faith in God any more, with wars raging across the world and the wealth of the nation in a bad way it is straightforward to comprehend peoples lack of faith. In our opinion the Church needs to be re-branded, if you think of the core values of Church such as togetherness, family, marriage and community leaving aside God for a second! If you reflect on all the good things that Churches stand for in our Hinckley community then it's in reality shocking figures are going down. Surely we all want our Hinckley to be a fantastic place to live, where people get along, they assist each other in times of need and people give to each other without asking anything back in return. So what we are asking is for you to go along to your Hinckley church and demand change, you want to assist, and you think it is only right and proper that the rest of your neighborhood chip in and help with things. This country is on its knees because hardly anybody wishes to work to a superior goal...it is time for change...come on people..let's get as one and make this happen

Churches in the past and future have collaborated with other organisations such as resident schools, groups such as the beavers, cubs and scouts as well as being prominent in assisting other groups of inhabitants such as the lonely, lowly and abused. The church is seen as doing good causes which sees them in a nice light.

Churches have been seen in a dim light of late with the pope resigning, the first pope to do so in more than 600 years, and nobody was entirely sure of the reason why, countless people have speculated that it is not just a matter of the pope getting older and not being able to carry out his job to the fullest.

The scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien recently quit after admitting sexually inappropriate moves to young men schooling to be priests, taking into consideration his anti-homosexual words in the past, this was seen as "do as I say not as I do"!

On the lighter side of things churches are seen as a very quiet position to be - a good space to contemplate on the things that are going on in your life at the present time.

A game we used to play as children was to find the oldest memorial..i.e. the earliest date, that is a diversion that can keep children pleased for a while as well as giving them good exercise as they run/walk round the cemetery.
