Lancaster Church

Lancaster Church in Lancashire has several churches for different religious faiths such as Anglican, Baptist and Methodist. It is common for a town to have more than one church and Lancaster is no exception.

Alas church attendance has been tumbling for the last 50 years in the UK, with 15% of the populace attending at least once every month, nevertheless Atheists and Agnostics are still in a minority, representing 33% of the population.

We think the reason for the decline is in basic terms that people don't believe in God any more, with wars raging across the Earth and the wealth of the nation in a bad way it's easy to appreciate peoples lack of faith. In our judgment the Church needs to be re-branded, if you think of the central values of Church such as togetherness, family, marriage and community leaving aside God for a second! If you think on all the good things that Churches represent in our Lancaster community then it is truly shocking numbers are going down. Surely we all want our Lancaster to be a splendid spot to dwell, where people get along, they help one another in times of need and people give to each other without asking anything back in return. So what we are asking is for you to go along to your Lancaster church and make a request change, you want to assist, and you think it is only right and proper that the rest of your community chip in and help with things. The UK is on its knees because nobody wishes to work to a superior goal...it is time for change...come on people..let us get organized and make this happen

Churches in the past and future have collaborated with other organisations such as native schools, groups such as the beavers, cubs and scouts as well as being prominent in assisting other groups of inhabitants such as the lonely, poor and abused. The church is seen as doing good causes which sees them in a good light.

Churches have been seen in a dim light of late with the pope resigning, the first pope to do so in more than six hundred years, and nobody was entirely sure of the reason why, numerous people have speculated that it is not just a matter of the pope getting older and not being able to carry out his job to the fullest.

The scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien in recent times deserted after admitting sexually inappropriate moves to young men schooling to be priests, considering his anti-gay language in bygone times, this was seen as "do as I say not as I do"!

On the lighter side of things churches are seen as a very quiet space to be - a good space to reflect on the things that are happening in your life at the present time.

A game we used to play as kids was to find the oldest memorial..i.e. the earliest date, that is a diversion that can keep children amused for a while as well as giving them good exercise as they run/walk round the graveyard.
