Aylesford Church

Aylesford Church in Kent has many churches for different religious faiths such as Anglican, Baptist and Methodist. It is regular for a town to have more than one church and Aylesford is no exception.

Regrettably church attendance has been sinking for the last fifty years in the United Kingdom, with 15% of the populace presiding at least once per month, nonetheless Atheists and Agnostics are still in a minority, representing 33% of the inhabitants.

We think the cause for the decline is just that people do not have faith in God any more, with wars raging across the world and the economy in a bad way it's straightforward to appreciate peoples lack of faith. In our opinion the Church needs to be re-branded, if you think of the core values of Church such as togetherness, family, marriage and community leaving aside God for a second! If you reflect on all the good things that Churches stand for in our Aylesford community then it's actually extraordinary numbers are going down. Surely we all want our Aylesford to be a splendid location to dwell, where persons get along, they assist each other in times of hardship and people offer to each other without asking anything back in return. So what we are asking is for you to go along to your Aylesford church and make a request change, you want to assist, and you think it's only right and proper that the rest of your community chip in and help with things. The UK is on its knees because hardly anybody desires to work to a superior goal...it is time for change...come on people..let us get together and make this happen

Churches in the past and future have worked together with other organisations such as local schools, groups such as the beavers, cubs and scouts as well as being prominent in assisting other groups of inhabitants such as the lonely, meager and abused. The church is seen as doing good causes which sees them in a good light.

Churches have been seen in a dim light of late with the pope resigning, the first pope to do so in more than six hundred years, and nobody was entirely sure of the reason why, loads of people have speculated that it is not just a matter of the pope getting older and not being able to carry out his job to the fullest.

The scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien recently resigned after admitting sexually inappropriate moves to young men schooling to be priests, taking into account his anti-gay speech-making in bygone times, this was seen as "do as I say not as I do"!

On the lighter side of things churches are seen as a very peaceful spot to be - a good place to cogitate on the things that are happening in your life at the present time.

A game we used to play as children was to find the oldest gravestone..i.e. the earliest date, that is a game that can keep kids amused for a while as well as giving them good exercise as they run/walk round the cemetery.
