Watford Church in Hertfordshire has many churches for various religious faiths such as Anglican, Baptist and Methodist. It is regular for a town to have more than one church and Watford is no exception.

Alas church attendance has been dipping for the last 50 years in the United Kingdom, with 15% of the populace presiding at least once every month, nonetheless Atheists and Agnostics are still in a minority, representing 33% of the populace.

We think the basis for the decline is in simple terms that people do not believe in God any more, with wars raging across the Earth and the wealth of the nation in a bad way it is easy to comprehend peoples lack of faith. In our judgment the Church needs to be re-branded, if you think of the central values of Church such as togetherness, family, marriage and community leaving aside God for a second! If you reflect on all the good things that Churches represent in our Watford community then it's really astounding figures are going down. Surely we all want our Watford to be a fantastic location to inhabit, where people get along, they help each other in times of hardship and people give to each other without asking anything back in return. So what we are asking is for you to go along to your Watford church and demand change, you want to assist, and you think it is only right and proper that the rest of your district chip in and help with things. The UK is on its knees because hardly anybody desires to work to a better goal...it is time for change...come on people..let us get as one and make this happen

Churches in the past and future have collaborated with other organisations such as resident schools, groups such as the beavers, cubs and scouts as well as being prominent in assisting other groups of inhabitants such as the lonely, humble and abused. The church is seen as doing good causes which sees them in a good light.

Churches have been seen in a dim light recently with the pope resigning, the first pope to do so in more than six hundred years, and nobody was entirely sure of the reason why, a lot of people have speculated that it is not just a matter of the pope getting older and not being able to carry out his job to the fullest.

The scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien recently deserted after admitting sexually inappropriate moves to young men training to be priests, bearing in mind his anti-gay speech-making in bygone times, this was seen as "do as I say not as I do"!

On the lighter side of things churches are seen as a very peaceful place to be - a good place to reflect on the things that are going on in your life at the present time.

A game we used to play as children was to find the oldest gravestone..i.e. the earliest date, that's a game that can keep children amused for a while as well as giving them good exercise as they run/walk round the cemetery.
