Ware Church

Ware Church in Hertfordshire has a lot of churches for distinct religious faiths such as Anglican, Baptist and Methodist. It is regular for a town to have more than one church and Ware is no exception.

Unfortunately church attendance has been falling for the last fifty years in the United Kingdom, with 15% of the populace attending at least once per month, in spite of everything Atheists and Agnostics are still in a minority, representing 33% of the inhabitants.

We think the cause for the decline is in basic terms that people do not have faith in God any more, with violence raging across the Earth and the economy in a bad way it is straightforward to comprehend peoples lack of faith. In our opinion the Church needs to be re-branded, if you think of the fundamental values of Church such as togetherness, family, marriage and community leaving aside God for a second! If you think on all the good things that Churches stand for in our Ware community then it is really startling figures are going down. Surely we all want our Ware to be a good spot to inhabit, where people get along, they help one another in times of need and people offer to each other without asking anything back in return. So what we are asking is for you to go along to your Ware church and demand change, you want to help, and you think it is only right and proper that the rest of your community chip in and help with things. The UK is on its knees because nobody wants to work to a superior goal...it is time for change...come on people..let us get together and make this happen

Churches in the past and future have worked together with other organisations such as neighborhood schools, groups such as the beavers, cubs and scouts as well as being prominent in assisting other groups of inhabitants such as the lonely, impoverished and abused. The church is seen as doing good causes which sees them in a nice light.

Churches have been seen in a dim light recently with the pope resigning, the first pope in more than six hundred years, and nobody was entirely sure of the reason why, scores of people have speculated that it is not just a matter of the pope getting older and not being able to carry out his job to the fullest.

The scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien recently walked out after admitting sexually inappropriate moves to young men schooling to be priests, bearing in mind his anti-homosexual rhetoric in bygone times, this was seen as "do as I say not as I do"!

On the lighter side of things churches are seen as a very quiet spot to be - a good space to cogitate on the things that are happening in your life at the present moment.

A game we used to play as children was to find the oldest tombstone..i.e. the earliest date, that's a game that can keep kids amused for a while as well as giving them good exercise as they walk/run round the cemetery.
