Lymington Church

Lymington Church in Hampshire has various churches for separate religious faiths such as Anglican, Baptist and Methodist. It is frequent for a town to have more than one church and Lymington is no exception.

Sadly church attendance has been plummeting for the last fifty years in the United Kingdom, with 15% of the populace presiding at least once per month, however Atheists and Agnostics are still in a minority, representing 33% of the people.

We think the cause for the decline is just that people don't have faith in God any more, with wars raging across the Earth and the economy in a bad way it is straightforward to appreciate peoples lack of faith. In our opinion the Church needs to be re-branded, if you think of the staple values of Church such as togetherness, family, marriage and community leaving aside God for a second! If you contemplate on all the good things that Churches stand for in our Lymington community then it's actually extraordinary numbers are going down. Surely we all want our Lymington to be a good spot to dwell, where persons get along, they assist one another in times of hardship and people offer to each other without asking anything back in return. So what we are asking is for you to go along to your Lymington church and make a request change, you want to assist, and you think it's only right and proper that the rest of your community chip in and help with things. The UK is on its knees because hardly a soul desires to work to a better goal...it is time for change...come on people..let us get as one and make this happen

Churches in the past and future have collaborated with other organisations such as resident schools, groups such as the beavers, cubs and scouts as well as being prominent in assisting other groups of inhabitants such as the lonely, humble and abused. The church is seen as doing good causes which sees them in a good light.

Churches have been seen in a dim light recently with the pope resigning, the first pope in more than six hundred years, and nobody was entirely sure of the reason why, loads of people have speculated that it is not just a matter of the pope getting older and not being able to carry out his job to the fullest.

The scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien recently walked out after admitting sexually inappropriate moves to young men schooling to be priests, bearing in mind his anti-gay words in the past, this was seen as "do as I say not as I do"!

On the lighter side of things churches are seen as a very quiet space to be - a good spot to contemplate on the things that are happening in your life at the present time.

A game we used to play as children was to find the oldest tombstone..i.e. the earliest date, that's a game that can keep kids pleased for a while as well as giving them good exercise as they run/walk round the cemetery.
