Llandudno Church

Llandudno Church in Gwynedd has various churches for different religious faiths such as Anglican, Baptist and Methodist. It is conventional for a town to have more than one church and Llandudno is no exception.

Alas church attendance has been dropping for the last fifty years in the United Kingdom, with 15% of the populace presiding at least once every month, notwithstanding Atheists and Agnostics are still in a minority, representing 33% of the people.

We think the rationale for the decline is in basic terms that people do not believe in God any more, with violence raging across the Earth and the wealth of the nation in a bad way it is easy to appreciate peoples lack of faith. In our estimation the Church needs to be re-branded, if you think of the staple values of Church such as togetherness, family, marriage and community leaving aside God for a second! If you contemplate on all the good things that Churches represent in our Llandudno community then it's in reality startling numbers are going down. Surely we all want our Llandudno to be a wonderful location to dwell, where persons get along, they assist each other in times of hardship and people offer to each other without asking anything back in return. So what we are asking is for you to go along to your Llandudno church and pressure for change, you want to help, and you think it's only right and proper that the rest of your neighborhood chip in and help with things. The UK is on its knees because nobody wants to work to a greater goal...it is time for change...come on people..let us get together and make this happen

Churches in the past and future have worked together with other organisations such as neighborhood schools, groups such as the beavers, cubs and scouts as well as being prominent in assisting other groups of inhabitants such as the lonely, poor and abused. The church is seen as doing good causes which sees them in a good light.

Churches have been seen in a dim light recently with the pope resigning, the first pope to do so in more than 600 years, and nobody was entirely sure of the reason why, countless people have speculated that it is not just a matter of the pope getting older and not being able to carry out his job to the fullest.

The scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien recently quit after admitting sexually inappropriate moves to young men training to be priests, in view of his anti-gay speech-making in bygone times, this was seen as "do as I say not as I do"!

On the lighter side of things churches are seen as a very quiet place to be - a good space to contemplate on the things that are going on in your life at the present moment.

A game we used to play as kids was to find the oldest memorial..i.e. the earliest date, that's a game that can keep kids smiling for a while as well as giving them good exercise as they walk/run round the graveyard.
