Bangor Church

Bangor Church in Gwynedd has many churches for separate religious faiths such as Anglican, Baptist and Methodist. It is frequent for a town to have more than one church and Bangor is no exception.

Unfortunately church attendance has been plummeting for the last fifty years in the UK, with 15% of the populace presiding at least once every month, however Atheists and Agnostics are still in a minority, representing 33% of the people.

We think the cause for the decline is just that people do not believe in God any more, with violence raging across the Earth and the wealth of the nation in a bad way it is straightforward to comprehend peoples lack of faith. In our opinion the Church needs to be re-branded, if you think of the staple values of Church such as togetherness, family, marriage and community leaving aside God for a second! If you reflect on all the good things that Churches stand for in our Bangor community then it is truly shocking numbers are going down. Surely we all want our Bangor to be a fantastic location to be alive, where people get along, they help one another in times of need and people give to each other without asking anything back in return. So what we are asking is for you to go along to your Bangor church and plea for change, you want to help, and you think it's only right and proper that the rest of your district chip in and help with things. The UK is on its knees because hardly anybody wishes to work to a better goal...it is time for change...come on people..let's get organized and make this happen

Churches in the past and future have worked together with other organisations such as native schools, groups such as the beavers, cubs and scouts as well as being prominent in assisting other groups of people such as the lonely, lowly and abused. The church is seen as doing good causes which sees them in a good light.

Churches have been seen in a dim light recently with the pope resigning, the first pope to do so in more than six hundred years, and nobody was entirely sure of the reason why, countless people have speculated that it is not just a matter of the pope getting older and not being able to carry out his job to the fullest.

The scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien recently resigned after admitting sexually inappropriate moves to young men training to be priests, taking into consideration his anti-homosexual words in bygone times, this was seen as "do as I say not as I do"!

On the lighter side of things churches are seen as a very peaceful spot to be - a good spot to ruminate on the things that are going on in your life at the present time.

A game we used to play as children was to find the oldest memorial..i.e. the earliest date, that's a game that can keep children amused for a while as well as giving them good exercise as they run/walk round the cemetery.
