Cheadle Church

Cheadle Church in Greater Manchester has a lot of churches for distinctive religious faiths such as Anglican, Baptist and Methodist. It is common for a town to have more than one church and Cheadle is no exception.

Alas church attendance has been falling for the last 50 years in the United Kingdom, with 15% of the populace attending at least once per month, however Atheists and Agnostics are still in a minority, representing 33% of the residents.

We think the cause for the decline is just that people don't believe in God any more, with wars raging across the planet and the wealth of the nation in a bad way it is straightforward to comprehend peoples lack of faith. In our judgment the Church needs to be re-branded, if you think of the staple values of Church such as togetherness, family, marriage and community leaving aside God for a second! If you think on all the good things that Churches stand for in our Cheadle community then it's actually startling figures are going down. Surely we all want our Cheadle to be a fantastic place to be alive, where persons get along, they help one another in times of hardship and people offer to each other without asking anything back in return. So what we are asking is for you to go along to your Cheadle church and make a request change, you want to assist, and you think it's only right and proper that the rest of your district chip in and help with things. The UK is on its knees because hardly anybody desires to work to a superior goal...it is time for change...come on people..let us get as one and make this happen

Churches in the past and future have collaborated with other organisations such as neighborhood schools, groups such as the beavers, cubs and scouts as well as being prominent in assisting other groups of people such as the lonely, meager and abused. The church is seen as doing good causes which sees them in a nice light.

Churches have been seen in a dim light of late with the pope resigning, the first pope in more than 600 years, and nobody was entirely sure of the reason why, countless people have speculated that it is not just a matter of the pope getting older and not being able to carry out his job to the fullest.

The scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien in recent times walked out after admitting sexually inappropriate moves to young men training to be priests, considering his anti-homosexual words in bygone times, this was seen as "do as I say not as I do"!

On the lighter side of things churches are seen as a very quiet space to be - a good spot to reflect on the things that are going on in your life at the present time.

A game we used to play as children was to find the oldest memorial..i.e. the earliest date, that's a game that can keep kids amused for a while as well as giving them good exercise as they run/walk round the cemetery.
