Waltham Forest Church

Waltham Forest Church in Greater London has various churches for diverse religious faiths such as Anglican, Baptist and Methodist. It is conventional for a town to have more than one church and Waltham Forest is no exception.

Unfortunately church attendance has been sinking for the last fifty years in the UK, with 15% of the populace presiding at least once every month, nonetheless Atheists and Agnostics are still in a minority, representing 33% of the people.

We think the cause for the decline is just that people do not believe in God any more, with wars raging across the Earth and the economy in a bad way it is easy to comprehend peoples lack of faith. In our estimation the Church needs to be re-branded, if you think of the core values of Church such as togetherness, family, marriage and community leaving aside God for a second! If you ruminate on all the good things that Churches stand for in our Waltham Forest community then it is really amazing figures are going down. Surely we all want our Waltham Forest to be a splendid spot to be alive, where persons get along, they help one another in times of need and people offer to each other without asking anything back in return. So what we are asking is for you to go along to your Waltham Forest church and plea for change, you want to assist, and you think it's only right and proper that the rest of your district chip in and help with things. This country is on its knees because hardly anybody wishes to work to a better goal...it is time for change...come on people..let's get together and make this happen

Churches in the past and future have collaborated with other organisations such as community schools, groups such as the beavers, cubs and scouts as well as being prominent in assisting other groups of inhabitants such as the lonely, poor and abused. The church is seen as doing good causes which sees them in a good light.

Churches have been seen in a dim light of late with the pope resigning, the first pope in more than six hundred years, and nobody was entirely sure of the reason why, loads of people have speculated that it is not just a matter of the pope getting older and not being able to carry out his job to the fullest.

The scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien in recent times deserted after admitting sexually inappropriate moves to young men training to be priests, in view of his anti-homosexual speech-making in the past, this was seen as "do as I say not as I do"!

On the lighter side of things churches are seen as a very peaceful position to be - a good space to cogitate on the things that are happening in your life at the present time.

A game we used to play as kids was to find the oldest gravestone..i.e. the earliest date, that's a game that can keep kids smiling for a while as well as giving them good exercise as they walk/run round the graveyard.
