Clacton-on-Sea Church

Clacton-on-Sea Church in Essex has numerous churches for separate religious faiths such as Anglican, Baptist and Methodist. It is conventional for a town to have more than one church and Clacton-on-Sea is no exception.

Alas church attendance has been dropping for the last 50 years in the United Kingdom, with 15% of the populace presiding at least once per month, still Atheists and Agnostics are still in a minority, representing 33% of the populace.

We think the explanation for the decline is just that people don't have faith in God any more, with wars raging across the world and the wealth of the nation in a bad way it is easy to comprehend peoples lack of faith. In our opinion the Church needs to be re-branded, if you think of the central values of Church such as togetherness, family, marriage and community leaving aside God for a second! If you contemplate on all the good things that Churches represent in our Clacton-on-Sea community then it is actually amazing numbers are going down. Surely we all want our Clacton-on-Sea to be a wonderful location to inhabit, where individuals get along, they assist one another in times of hardship and people give to each other without asking anything back in return. So what we are asking is for you to go along to your Clacton-on-Sea church and pressure for change, you want to assist, and you think it's only right and proper that the rest of your neighborhood chip in and help with things. The UK is on its knees because nobody desires to work to a better goal...it is time for change...come on people..let us get together and make this happen

Churches in the past and future have collaborated with other organisations such as community schools, groups such as the beavers, cubs and scouts as well as being prominent in assisting other groups of inhabitants such as the lonely, feeble and abused. The church is seen as doing good causes which sees them in a good light.

Churches have been seen in a dim light of late with the pope resigning, the first pope to do so in more than six hundred years, and nobody was entirely sure of the reason why, numerous people have speculated that it is not just a matter of the pope getting older and not being able to carry out his job to the fullest.

The scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien recently walked out after admitting sexually inappropriate moves to young men schooling to be priests, considering his anti-gay speech-making in the past, this was seen as "do as I say not as I do"!

On the lighter side of things churches are seen as a very peaceful position to be - a good spot to contemplate on the things that are going on in your life at the present time.

A game we used to play as kids was to find the oldest tombstone..i.e. the earliest date, that's a diversion that can keep kids pleased for a while as well as giving them good exercise as they walk/run round the cemetery.
