Narberth Church

Narberth Church in Dyfed has various churches for distinct religious faiths such as Anglican, Baptist and Methodist. It is frequent for a town to have more than one church and Narberth is no exception.

Regrettably church attendance has been tumbling for the last 50 years in the United Kingdom, with 15% of the populace attending at least once every month, nevertheless Atheists and Agnostics are still in a minority, representing 33% of the populace.

We think the reason for the decline is in simple terms that people don't have faith in God any more, with wars raging across the world and the economy in a bad way it is straightforward to comprehend peoples lack of faith. In our judgment the Church needs to be re-branded, if you think of the fundamental values of Church such as togetherness, family, marriage and community leaving aside God for a second! If you think on all the good things that Churches represent in our Narberth community then it's in reality astonishing figures are going down. Surely we all want our Narberth to be a good location to inhabit, where inhabitants get along, they assist one another in times of need and people offer to each other without asking anything back in return. So what we are asking is for you to go along to your Narberth church and make a request change, you want to help, and you think it is only right and proper that the rest of your district chip in and help with things. The UK is on its knees because nobody wants to work to a greater goal...it is time for change...come on people..let us get together and make this happen

Churches in the past and future have worked together with other organisations such as neighborhood schools, groups such as the beavers, cubs and scouts as well as being prominent in assisting other groups of inhabitants such as the lonely, meager and abused. The church is seen as doing good causes which sees them in a good light.

Churches have been seen in a dim light of late with the pope resigning, the first pope in more than six hundred years, and nobody was entirely sure of the reason why, a lot of people have speculated that it is not just a matter of the pope getting older and not being able to carry out his job to the fullest.

The scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien in recent times resigned after admitting sexually inappropriate moves to young men schooling to be priests, in view of his anti-gay language in bygone times, this was seen as "do as I say not as I do"!

On the lighter side of things churches are seen as a very quiet position to be - a good space to reflect on the things that are happening in your life at the present moment.

A game we used to play as kids was to find the oldest memorial..i.e. the earliest date, that's a diversion that can keep children pleased for a while as well as giving them good exercise as they walk/run round the graveyard.
