Redcar Church

Redcar Church in Cleveland has a lot of churches for assorted religious faiths such as Anglican, Baptist and Methodist. It is common for a town to have more than one church and Redcar is no exception.

Regrettably church attendance has been dropping for the last 50 years in the UK, with 15% of the population attending at least once per month, nevertheless Atheists and Agnostics are still in a minority, representing 33% of the populace.

We think the cause for the decline is just that people do not have faith in God any more, with wars raging across the Earth and the economy in a bad way it is straightforward to appreciate peoples lack of faith. In our judgment the Church needs to be re-branded, if you think of the staple values of Church such as togetherness, family, marriage and community leaving aside God for a second! If you ruminate on all the good things that Churches represent in our Redcar community then it's truly astonishing figures are going down. Surely we all want our Redcar to be a wonderful place to live, where individuals get along, they assist one another in times of hardship and people offer to each other without asking anything back in return. So what we are asking is for you to go along to your Redcar church and plea for change, you want to assist, and you think it's only right and proper that the rest of your neighborhood chip in and help with things. The UK is on its knees because hardly a soul desires to work to a greater goal...it is time for change...come on people..let us get together and make this happen

Churches in the past and future have collaborated with other organisations such as community schools, groups such as the beavers, cubs and scouts as well as being prominent in assisting other groups of inhabitants such as the lonely, meager and abused. The church is seen as doing good causes which sees them in a nice light.

Churches have been seen in a dim light recently with the pope resigning, the first pope to do so in more than 600 years, and nobody was entirely sure of the reason why, numerous people have speculated that it is not just a matter of the pope getting older and not being able to carry out his job to the fullest.

The scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien recently resigned after admitting sexually inappropriate moves to young men training to be priests, bearing in mind his anti-gay language in bygone times, this was seen as "do as I say not as I do"!

On the lighter side of things churches are seen as a very quiet spot to be - a good space to reflect on the things that are happening in your life at the present moment.

A game we used to play as kids was to find the oldest memorial..i.e. the earliest date, that is a game that can keep kids pleased for a while as well as giving them good exercise as they walk/run round the graveyard.
