March Church

March Church in Cambridgeshire has a lot of churches for diverse religious faiths such as Anglican, Baptist and Methodist. It is regular for a town to have more than one church and March is no exception.

Sadly church attendance has been falling for the last fifty years in the United Kingdom, with 15% of the population presiding at least once per month, notwithstanding Atheists and Agnostics are still in a minority, representing 33% of the inhabitants.

We think the cause for the decline is just that people don't believe in God any more, with violence raging across the world and the wealth of the nation in a bad way it is straightforward to understand peoples lack of faith. In our judgment the Church needs to be re-branded, if you think of the staple values of Church such as togetherness, family, marriage and community leaving aside God for a second! If you contemplate on all the good things that Churches stand for in our March community then it's in reality startling numbers are going down. Surely we all want our March to be a fantastic spot to dwell, where individuals get along, they help one another in times of need and people give to each other without asking anything back in return. So what we are asking is for you to go along to your March church and pressure for change, you want to assist, and you think it is only right and proper that the rest of your community chip in and help with things. The UK is on its knees because nobody wants to work to a greater goal...it is time for change...come on people..let us get as one and make this happen

Churches in the past and future have collaborated with other organisations such as local schools, groups such as the beavers, cubs and scouts as well as being prominent in assisting other groups of inhabitants such as the lonely, impoverished and abused. The church is seen as doing good causes which sees them in a good light.

Churches have been seen in a dim light recently with the pope resigning, the first pope in more than six hundred years, and nobody was entirely sure of the reason why, countless people have speculated that it is not just a matter of the pope getting older and not being able to carry out his job to the fullest.

The scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien in recent times resigned after admitting sexually inappropriate moves to young men schooling to be priests, bearing in mind his anti-gay rhetoric in the past, this was seen as "do as I say not as I do"!

On the lighter side of things churches are seen as a very quiet position to be - a good place to reflect on the things that are going on in your life at the present time.

A game we used to play as kids was to find the oldest memorial..i.e. the earliest date, that's a diversion that can keep kids amused for a while as well as giving them good exercise as they walk/run round the graveyard.
