Maybole Church

Maybole Church in Ayrshire has numerous churches for separate religious faiths such as Anglican, Baptist and Methodist. It is common for a town to have more than one church and Maybole is no exception.

Regrettably church attendance has been falling for the last 50 years in the United Kingdom, with 15% of the population attending at least once per month, notwithstanding Atheists and Agnostics are still in a minority, representing 33% of the people.

We think the grounds for the decline is in basic terms that people don't have faith in God any more, with wars raging across the planet and the wealth of the nation in a bad way it's straightforward to appreciate peoples lack of faith. In our judgment the Church needs to be re-branded, if you think of the staple values of Church such as togetherness, family, marriage and community leaving aside God for a second! If you contemplate on all the good things that Churches represent in our Maybole community then it is in reality astonishing figures are going down. Surely we all want our Maybole to be a splendid spot to be alive, where individuals get along, they help each other in times of hardship and people give to each other without asking anything back in return. So what we are asking is for you to go along to your Maybole church and make a request change, you want to help, and you think it's only right and proper that the rest of your district chip in and help with things. The UK is on its knees because hardly anybody wants to work to a superior goal...it is time for change...come on people..let's get together and make this happen

Churches in the past and future have worked together with other organisations such as native schools, groups such as the beavers, cubs and scouts as well as being prominent in assisting other groups of people such as the lonely, humble and abused. The church is seen as doing good causes which sees them in a nice light.

Churches have been seen in a dim light recently with the pope resigning, the first pope in more than six hundred years, and nobody was entirely sure of the reason why, a lot of people have speculated that it is not just a matter of the pope getting older and not being able to carry out his job to the fullest.

The scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien in recent times quit after admitting sexually inappropriate moves to young men schooling to be priests, taking into account his anti-gay words in the past, this was seen as "do as I say not as I do"!

On the lighter side of things churches are seen as a very quiet position to be - a good spot to contemplate on the things that are going on in your life at the present time.

A game we used to play as kids was to find the oldest gravestone..i.e. the earliest date, that is a game that can keep kids amused for a while as well as giving them good exercise as they walk/run round the cemetery.
