Bristol Church

Bristol Church in Avon has a lot of churches for distinct religious faiths such as Anglican, Baptist and Methodist. It is conventional for a town to have more than one church and Bristol is no exception.

Regrettably church attendance has been falling for the last fifty years in the United Kingdom, with 15% of the population presiding at least once every month, still Atheists and Agnostics are still in a minority, representing 33% of the inhabitants.

We think the reason for the decline is in basic terms that people do not believe in God any more, with wars raging across the planet and the economy in a bad way it's straightforward to appreciate peoples lack of faith. In our judgment the Church needs to be re-branded, if you think of the staple values of Church such as togetherness, family, marriage and community leaving aside God for a second! If you think on all the good things that Churches stand for in our Bristol community then it's really startling figures are going down. Surely we all want our Bristol to be a good spot to be alive, where persons get along, they assist each other in times of hardship and people give to each other without asking anything back in return. So what we are asking is for you to go along to your Bristol church and make a request change, you want to help, and you think it's only right and proper that the rest of your community chip in and help with things. This country is on its knees because nobody wants to work to a superior goal...it is time for change...come on people..let us get organized and make this happen

Churches in the past and future have collaborated with other organisations such as community schools, groups such as the beavers, cubs and scouts as well as being prominent in assisting other groups of people such as the lonely, meager and abused. The church is seen as doing good causes which sees them in a nice light.

Churches have been seen in a dim light of late with the pope resigning, the first pope to do so in more than six hundred years, and nobody was entirely sure of the reason why, loads of people have speculated that it is not just a matter of the pope getting older and not being able to carry out his job to the fullest.

The scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien recently resigned after admitting sexually inappropriate moves to young men training to be priests, considering his anti-gay speech-making in the past, this was seen as "do as I say not as I do"!

On the lighter side of things churches are seen as a very quiet place to be - a good place to reflect on the things that are going on in your life at the present moment.

A game we used to play as kids was to find the oldest memorial..i.e. the earliest date, that is a diversion that can keep kids amused for a while as well as giving them good exercise as they walk/run round the cemetery.
