Aberdeen Church

Aberdeen Church in Aberdeenshire has numerous churches for diverse religious faiths such as Anglican, Baptist and Methodist. It is frequent for a town to have more than one church and Aberdeen is no exception.

Regrettably church attendance has been plummeting for the last fifty years in the United Kingdom, with 15% of the populace presiding at least once per month, in spite of everything Atheists and Agnostics are still in a minority, representing 33% of the inhabitants.

We think the rationale for the decline is just that people do not believe in God any more, with wars raging across the Earth and the wealth of the nation in a bad way it is straightforward to understand peoples lack of faith. In our opinion the Church needs to be re-branded, if you think of the central values of Church such as togetherness, family, marriage and community leaving aside God for a second! If you contemplate on all the good things that Churches represent in our Aberdeen community then it's truly remarkable numbers are going down. Surely we all want our Aberdeen to be a great place to live, where inhabitants get along, they assist one another in times of hardship and people offer to each other without asking anything back in return. So what we are asking is for you to go along to your Aberdeen church and make a request change, you want to assist, and you think it is only right and proper that the rest of your community chip in and help with things. The UK is on its knees because nobody desires to work to a greater goal...it is time for change...come on people..let's get together and make this happen

Churches in the past and future have collaborated with other organisations such as community schools, groups such as the beavers, cubs and scouts as well as being prominent in assisting other groups of inhabitants such as the lonely, meager and abused. The church is seen as doing good causes which sees them in a good light.

Churches have been seen in a dim light recently with the pope resigning, the first pope to do so in more than 600 years, and nobody was entirely sure of the reason why, countless people have speculated that it is not just a matter of the pope getting older and not being able to carry out his job to the fullest.

The scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien recently resigned after admitting sexually inappropriate moves to young men schooling to be priests, taking into consideration his anti-gay words in the past, this was seen as "do as I say not as I do"!

On the lighter side of things churches are seen as a very quiet space to be - a good spot to cogitate on the things that are going on in your life at the present time.

A game we used to play as kids was to find the oldest headstone..i.e. the earliest date, that's a diversion that can keep kids pleased for a while as well as giving them good exercise as they run/walk round the graveyard.
